Both Schmidt and Oswalt, according to each report, would require parting with OF Lastings Milledge, who was ejected from last night’s game at Triple-A Norfolk. While Heyman describes a deal for Schmidt as being straight-up for Milledge, he notes that RHP Brian Bannister has also been discussed with regards to the Oswalt deal…

This morning’s Houston Chronicle notes that the Astros will not trade Oswalt in a deal for Orioles SS Miguel Tejada. The Astros, instead, are pushing hard to bring on Nationals 2B Alfonso Soriano…
