Mets claimed Ledee

According to the Associated Press, Ricky Ledee has been claimed off waivers by the Mets.

There hasn't been any confirmation from either team yet, but it looks like Ledee will be the left-handed bat off the bench the Mets have been looking for. If the Dodgers were just going to cut Ledee anyway, they should have kept Jose Cruz Jr., who was a better fit on a team with three left-handed-hitting outfielders. Now it looks like James Loney is going to remain with the team following Nomar Garciaparra's return, though he's yet another left-handed hitter and has limited experience in the outfielder.
