Oliver could take the ball

Rookie Mike Pelfrey is on the minor-league disabled list. So if Martinez doesn't pitch, the ball could go to left-hander Oliver Perez, whom the Mets acquired along with Roberto Hernandez in the Xavier Nady deal.
