Poor Pedro
Pedro Martinez will have his strained right calf examined back in New York on Tuesday.
Martinez was gone before he could comment on the injury he first felt while warming up for his start tonight. He left after giving up six runs in an inning. "He felt a twinge out there, but he felt like if it got loose, he could go out there and give us what he had," manager Willie Randolph said. The test results will determine what chance Martinez has of making his next start. It seems likely that he'll miss at least one turn.
