Wright's catch voted best of '05

Before the Mets' game against the Padres, Wright was recognized for making the 2005 Play of the Year as part of MLB.com's This Year in Baseball Awards. Wright received 32.8 percent of the 3.3 million votes cast. Derek Jeter's over-the-shoulder catch and dive onto Yankees teammate Robinson Cano on May 25, 2005, was second with 13.6 percent, while Todd Linden's leap and catch of a line drive for the Giants finished third with 7.8 percent.
