Wright's strike outs
Mark Hale at The NY Post writes about the concern of David Wright's strike out total this year:
David Wright has struck out 95 times this year, and through 117 games, he is on pace for 131 whiffs. That's 18 more K's than he totaled last season.
"I think last year I was over 100. And I've always been kind of right around there," Wright said. "But this year, it just seems like - at the beginning of the year, I didn't strike out at all. And then fell into a groove. And lately, just I'm going through one of those times where I'm not seeing the ball too well, not trusting myself. Kind of guessing a little bit up there instead of just trusting in myself and trusting in my hands, and I think that. . . you see the strikeout numbers, and I think that's a big reason why. It's something I need to improve on."
