Milledge gone from Post Season

Dan Cichalski at Mets.com writes about the cutting of Lastings Milledge and two others from the Mets Post Season Roster:

Milledge, the Mets' top prospect, hit .241 in 56 games in his rookie season after making his Major League debut in May when right fielder Xavier Nady underwent an emergency appendectomy. The 21-year-old Milledge was at the center of a mild controversy over the weekend, when a note that read, "Know your place, rook," was taped to his locker in Washington. He said the message referred to "a misunderstanding" with a teammate while the Mets were in Atlanta last week.

Ledee, a left-handed hitter, will be part of the Mets' taxi squad, a handful of players who will be available should the Mets need to make any roster changes before the NLCS. He hit .188 in 85 at-bats, with two home runs and nine RBIs.

Ring had a 2.13 ERA in 12 2/3 innings this season, striking out eight and walking three.
