Cubs like Heilman

Paul Sullivan at Chicago Sports, writes about the Cubs interest in Aaron Heilman:

General manager Jim Hendry will try to bring in one or two front-line starters through free agency or via the Japanese market, but sources indicate the Cubs also may get involved in trade talks with the New York Mets in hopes of acquiring right-hander Aaron Heilman.

In Ronny Cedeno and Eric Patterson, the Cubs have a couple of middle infielders possibly of some interest to the Mets. Right-hander Angel Guzman also could be on the table after his disappointing year. However, there are likely teams with more to offer up.
