Maybe not a deal

Agent Gregg Clifton denied a Daily News report that the Mets and Tom Glavine were close to agreeing to a two-year, $25 million contract.

"We've had absolutely no talks with the Mets whatsoever," Clifton said. The Daily News backed off somewhat in Thursday's editions after reporting the deal Wednesday.
