Minaya expects action soon

Steve Popper at North Jersey, writes about Omar Minaya and him expecting to sign some players soon:

Minaya expressed hope that in the coming days the dominos will begin to fall and some of the patience will erode from free agents and trade partners who will nervously want to avoid being left out of the game of musical pitchers.

"I think you're going to see over the next two weeks a wave of moves," Minaya said. "My experience, you're going to see a domino effect. Once guys start getting off the board then it starts dominos. All the back and forth goes out the window and people say, 'Hey let's get a deal done.'

"The agents don't want to get shut out and the teams don't want to get shut out. So I expect within the next two weeks you're going to have a lot of action, free agent signings. Everybody seems to be hesitant to do something."
