Minaya's plans for the day

John Delcos at the Journal News, writes about Omar Minaya and what his day is probably going to look like:

Omar Minaya will talk with a number of agents today, with presumably one of them Scott Boras about Barry Zito. They talked late last night, but the Mets have not made an offer.

They still haven't talked to Gil Meche's agent, but if they are interested they'd better act because word is he's been targeted by Toronto. The Cubs, with his former manager, Lou Piniella, is also in the mix.

MLB managers will be made available. We get Willie Randolph this afternoon. Will need to catch up with him on his contract extension. Minaya said yesterday there's no rush, but after the season he said he wanted to get it done this winter.
