Randolph's contract update

At Rotoworld, they write about Willie Randolph and his contract extension negotiations:

The Mets and manager Willie Randolph continue to discuss a new contract and talks could extend past Opening Day.

The two sides haven't found common ground nearly as easily as it appeared they would at the end of last season. Randolph is set to make $700,000 this year in the final season of the three-year contract he received when he was named the Mets' manager. "Hopefully it'll be done by spring training," GM Omar Minaya said. "Once the season starts ... could it happen? Yes. But you'd rather have it done before the season starts."
