Thompson not into how LoDuca acts behind the plate

Shi Davidi at Metro News, writes about John Thomson and why he didn't sign with the Mets:


John Thomson has no interest in pitching to four-time all-star catcher Paul Lo Duca and doesn't want Cliff Floyd defending behind him.

That, in part, is what helped the right-hander decide to sign with the Toronto Blue Jays rather than the New York Mets. "As far as just looking at Paul Lo Duca across the field, I'm not really into how he acts behind the plate," Thomson said Wednesday during a conference call.
