There's no such thing as the Off Season

John Delcos at Lo Hud writes that the season never ends:

We all know there's no offseason in baseball. We go from the playoffs to the winter meetings to spring training, and in between there's all the Hot Stove chatter. For me, the inevitability of the baseball season hit when the Colts ran the interception in for a touchdown.

It’s been an interesting offseason for the Mets, mostly because they didn’t acquire a big name starter and will fill from within.

Of all their offseason moves, outside of re-signing Tom Glavine, the acquisition of Burgos just might have the potential of creating the most impact because of the Mets reliance on their bullpen.
