El Duque to Pitch Tonight

In the second game of the season for the New York Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals, Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez will be given the ball and will face unappealing right hander Kip Wells.

Obviously, the object of the game is to contain Albert Pujols like we did in the NLCS and Opening Day, holding him to and 0 for 2 day. Hernandez will have to work in some off-speed stuff, and maybe that "Bugs Bunny" curve, as Howie Rose calls it.

As for the Mets offense, they will have to exploit Kip Wells' many weaknesses. Wells was horrible last year, although pitching for the Bucs, with a 2-2 record and a sky-high 6.50 ERA.

...our first look at el duque this year. i'm excited. we really gotta light up wells. this guy is so inferior to carpenter and look at what we did to him...

...let's keep the streak going- 2 in a row...
