Mets Scout College Player

Brian Wright at The Eastern Arizona Currier, wrights about Thatcher’s Cedric Johnson and the ten teams that sent scouts to evaluate him:

Ten Major League Baseball scouts were in attendance to watch the Eagles’ Cedric Johnson.

The 10 teams the scouts represented were the Toronto Blue Jays, the Minnesota Twins, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Cincinnati Reds, The Oakland Athletics, the Los Angeles Angels, the Atlanta Braves, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the New York Mets and the Cleveland Indians.

He was 0-3 with a run scored in the game, but the weather conditions made it hard to evaluate his performance.

Right now, Johnson is only being used as a designated hitter and pitcher. He will return to his regular center field spot when he’s 100-percent healthy.
