Getting Goose Bumps

I keep having these chills, thinking about Pedro Martinez’s comments on the FAN pre-game interview he had in Florida. He’s saying that he could throw ninety five miles an hour by the time he comes back.

This is just mind blowing for me and I’m sure a couple of you are feeling the same way.

If he, indeed, throws that fast and has the same control, when he comes back, there will be no stopping the Mets.

Martinez was a great pitcher when he threw in the low nineties( in 2005 and 2006), but if he throws at his 2004 velocity, the Mets could be looking at the most dominant rotation in the National League and possibly the Majors.

All of the critics looked at the Mets and shook their heads in disbelief that the Mets weren’t going to repeat a win of the Division this season. Instead they gave it to the Phillies. Well what do you think is going through their heads right now as they try to put fingers to keyboards?
