Gomez Could Get The Call

The New York Daily News is reporting that Carlos Gomez could be called up from Triple-A New Orleans if Moises Alou needs to go on the disabled list.

Gomez can play defense off the bench and serve as a pinch-runner, but he's not ready to hit in the majors and wouldn't be in line for much playing time if called up. He is hitting .301 with 13 stolen bases this season for New Orleans.
