Interesting Relief Option

Yahoo Sports is reporting that Yankee's relief pitcher Ron Villone may become a free agent. I'd take Villone over Burgos in the pen. Villone is a native of Englewood, NJ and may want to stay in the area, Omar has a good relationship with Boras.

Lefty Ron Villone can opt out of his contract if the New York Yankees do not purchase his contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by Tuesday.

GM Brian Cashman did not return calls, but Villone's agent, Scott Boras, said yesterday afternoon he expected to talk to Cashman late Monday night.Source: Newsday
