Wright's Frustration

David Lennon at Newsday, writes about David Wright and what he had to say about on field frustration:

David Wright's frustration over a 3-for-23 road trip appeared to get the best of him Monday when the third baseman flung his bat to the ground following a flyout to centerfield in the seventh inning. It was uncharacteristic for Wright, who usually avoids on-field displays. But he admitted later that those things happen.

"It's not something you want to do," Wright said. "If you're going to go throw bats and bang stuff down, you want to wait until you go do it in the tunnel and wreak havoc on some walls.

For the most part you try to keep it in. But it was a good pitch to hit. I just missed it, so I got a little frustrated."Asked about Wright's struggles, and if that was part of the process for a star, manager Willie Randolph said it was.
