Mets Drop Second Straight To Nationals

W- Mike Bacsik (4-6)
L- Jorge Sosa (7-6)
The Mets lose another tough one. Not too much fun in this one.

Here is the recap:

Jorge Sosa
Sosa had yet another bad start after starting off so well. He pitched 6 innings giving up 5 runs on 9 hits while striking out 3.

Jon Adkins, Pedro Feliciano, and Aaron Heilman
2 out of 3 of them were strong.
Jon Adkins pitched a perfect 6th inning.
Pedro Feliciano gave up 1 earned run in the 7th.
Heilman was good in the 8th allowing 1 baserunner but getting out of the inning.

Mike Bacsik
The former Met had his 3rd straight dominant outing going 7 innings surrendering 2 runs on 8 hits.

The Top of the Second Inning
3 doubles, 3 runs. Enough said.

Moises Alou
Although he was only credited for one hit, Moises Alou gave the ball a smackin' every at-bat which is nice to see from a guy just returning from the DL. He also threw out Dmitri Young trying to stretch a single into a double.

Ryan Church
Church was the main reason of the 6 runs by the Nationals hitting a homer and a double.

Summary
That really was the whole game. Bad loss dropping 2 straight to bad teams.

We'll get 'em tomorrow (I'm going to the night game)
