Mets Win 5-0 In Five

A good game today... Although it was only 5 innings our bats exploded and John Maine had another great start.

Here's the Summary:

John Maine
Maine was lights out, pitching a complete game (5 innings) 1 hitter striking out 5. The 1 hit came in the first inning and he retired everybody else. Great game for him picking up his 12th win of the season.

Mets Offense
They scored 5 runs off former Mets first round pick Billy Traber getting 10 hits.
Ramon Castro was 2-2 with a home run.
Lastings Milledge went 1-2 with a walk and and RBI.
Jose Reyes was 2-3 scoring wo of the Mets five runs.
A few other players also had good games...

Ronnie Belliard
Belliard picked up the only hit of the game for the Nats in the first inning with 1 out. Without that it would have been the first no-hitter in Mets history (I think it would have counted).

Summary
Another good win for the Mets. The Game Ball goes to John Maine for pitching 5 1-hit innings.
