Minor League Report

Hello Shea Nation readers, I am Tommy, and will be doing minor league reports every now and then. I will tell about the last gamefor the Mets AAA and AA teams and also talk about hitters that are doing well.

AAA New Orleans Zephyrs
July 8th- Zephyrs 7 Iowa 9. Jon Adkins picked up the loss, pitching 1.2 innings giving up 2 runs. Kind of funny that the starter was Jason Vargas, who just did so well in the big leagues, pitched 5.1 innings giving up 7 runs on 11 hits while striking out 7. This guy is so inconsistent. I don't wamt to see him again in the bigs. Chip Ambres hit his 16th homer of the year. Andy "Call Him Up and send Franco down" Tracy was 2-5 with a double and a run raising his batting average to .312.

AA Binghamton Mets
July 8th- The AA Mets, with their 2 all stars (Mulvey and Martinez) and Lastings Milledge are 18.5 games back from the 1st place Trenton Thunder (The Yankees AA affiliate it always has to be those damn Yankees). In their game July 8th, they beat the Connecticut Defenders 12-10. Probable MLB Mets left field starter after the break picked up his 5th RBI of his short time on Binghamton. Top Mets prospect Mike Carp picked up his 22nd RBI of the season. The Winning pitcher was relief pitcher Kevin Tomasiewicz, and Carlos Muniz picked up his 16th save of the season.
