Game Recap:: Dodgers 6 -- Mets 2

No one ask why the Mets didn't sign Wells...please...

John Maine continued his struggling ways, and the Mets lost the series finale to the Dodgers by a score of 6-2. Maine gave up 9 hits and walked one, while striking out 6 batters. John gave up 6 runs, with 3 of them being earned.

...as i've stated before, he gets visably shaken and loses focus after giving up a double or big hit...
...Rick, can you use some Buddhisim techniques on him or something!...

Scott Schoeneweis allowed 4 hits in 1.1 innings of relief, but didn't allow a run to score (on his sheet.) Schoe didn't walk or strike out a batter while on the bump.

...he did look better...

Guillermo Mota looked amazing tonight, pitching 2 innings of no hit ball. Mota did not allow a runner to reach base, and struck out one batter.

...Pedro Martinez called up the team to let them know what was wrong with Mota's motion...whatever he told them, worked...

Again, the top of the order continues to shine the brightest, with the top three batters picking 6 of the 9 hits.

Jose Reyes went 2-5, striking out once, and scoring one run.
Lasting Milledge went 2-4, walked once, and struck out twice.
Each also picked up a stolen base tonight. It was Reyes's 71st.

...speed, speed, speed...

David Wright went 2-3 with a walk. Wright doubled twice and drove in both of the teams runs.

...you know the chant...M-V-P!...

Game Ball:: Wright, and for looking good, Mota!
