Game Recap:: Mets 6 -- Nationals 2

I'm still in shock over that double play...wow...

Tom Glavine knew he had to go deep into the game, and he did, going 7 strong innings, giving up 8 hits and only one earned run. This was more than the Mets needed as they coasted to a 6-2 win over the Nationals. Tom struck out 6 batters and only walked one.

...what a great start from Tommy...
...116 pitches...he needed to go deep and hereally pushed himself to get there...well done Glavine!...

Jorge Sosa came in for the 8th inning, but only notched up 1 out while allowing 2 hits and 1 run.

Pedro Feliciano finished out the game, pitching 1.2 innings walking one and striking out one batter.

...nice to see the bullpen, ya know, register some outs...

Jose Reyes continues to walk like a mad man, walking twice tonight and scoring one run.

...remember when he would never ever walk, and now he's walked 61 times this year...amazing...

Moises Alou and Damion Easley each knocked solo home runs as their only hits for the game.

...Alou is truly on fire...

Mike DiFelice was the star at the plate tonight, knocking in an RBI on a sac fly, and then 2 more RBI on a triple...yes, a triple...in the 8th inning.

...Paul and Ramon who??...haha! just kidding...

Game Ball:: Tommy and DiFelice!
