Game Recap:: Mets 11 -- Astros 3

Well...I only saw 2 innings, but here goes nothing...

Mike Pelfrey didn't pitch as well as last time, but still earned the the win, as the Mets came from behind, and won 11-3. The Mets were out hit tonight, 13 to 12, but still scored over 3 times as many runs.

Mike Pelfrey lasted only 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 10 hits and only 2 earned runs. He walked 2 batters and struck out 3.

...i'll leave it to the comments to chat about how he pitched...

...it's a bit hard to stay in a game when you give up 10 hits...

Jorge Sosa came out of the bullpen for some long relief, pitching 1.2 innings, giving up 2 hits and 1 earned run. Sosa struck out one batter and walked none.

...i'm loving him out of the pen...

Guillermo Mota and Willie Collazo finished out the game, each pitching a scoreless inning. Collazo gave up one hit, and Mota picked up 1 strikout.

...very nice work out of the pen tonight...

Luis Castillo went 1-3 tonight, with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in one RBI.
David Wright picked up a double, an RBI, and scored twice.

...MVP!...

Carlos Beltran went 2-4, driving in 2 RBI and scoring once. Beltran hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 5th inning to deep left field.

...let's get hot Carlos!!...

Moises Alou hit two doubles tonight, driving in one RBI and scored twice.
Jeff Conine picked up an RBI in the 5th inning with a run scoring single. He also scored in the 6th inning.

Lastings Milledge blasted a home run to deep left field which plated 3 runs for the Mets. He went 2-3 on the night with 3 RBI and scored once.

...let's start hitting again Lastings, that'd be super...
