Game Recap:: Mets 3 -- Braves 2
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!...
The Mets did a 180 after getting swept in Philly, and turned around and swept a three game series from Atlanta, winning todays game 3-2.
Tom Glavine pitched great today, allowing only 5 hits through 6 innings. Glavine walked 3 and struck out 2 batters today. He allowed one earned run in the first inning, and then settled down nicely.
...what an amazing performance by all the starting pitchers in this series...
...way to go Tommy!...
Jorge Sosa came in for the 7th, with an inherited runner on, and struck out the first two batters, and then got a ground out from the third batter.
Aaron Heilman pitched the 8th, allowing a leadoff hit, and then shut down the hitters the rest of the inning. Heilman struck out 1 batter.
...such a bounceback from the bullpen this series...
...absolutely amazing...
Tom Glavine helped his own cause with a sacrafice fly in the top of the second inning that plated Moises Alou.
Billy Wagner came in to close out the game, allowing one run to score on 2 hits. He eventually finsihed out the game, perserving the game and the win for Glavine.
...he's still struggling, but he did get the save...
David Wright continued his hot streak, going 2-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored. The RBI's and the run scored came on his 2-run home run in the top of the 5th inning.
...his swing is so sweet...
Moises Alout went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored. Moises was tossed in the 8th inning for arguing a check swing strikeout. He was jawing at the first base up and was tossed, then he spiked his bat into the ground, and was tossed by the home plate umpire.
...haha i have never seen a player get tossed twice in the same game...
