Green Gets 2,000

Shawn Green went 2-2 to start the night and in doing so hit his 2,000th career hit. Green continues to be the hottest hitter on the team in the month of Sept.. Not only is he swinging a hot bat but he's also been clutch, he's one of the only players that can be relied on to get a hit with runners in scoring position and two outs. Green's contract is 10 million for next year but there's a 2 million buyout. He's actually a better first baseman then an outfielder but I think 10 million will be too expensive for a platoon/bench player.
