Keep An Eye On The Ring

From Ed Ryan at Mets Fever (Network Member):

Jeff Conine will be seeing an increase in his playing time with Carlos Delgado on the shelf with a hip injury. But more then fielding, Conine; the last player acquired for this years' team was brought in for his Championship experience. After the piece I just finished on Wright becoming a clubhouse leader it was interesting to see an article in which Wright was admiring Conine's rings. Stay Hungry, stay very very Hungry.........

A neat scene this morning in a sleepy clubhouse: Jeff Conine opened up a case that held the two World Series rings he won with the Florida Marlins. As David Wright admired them, even putting one on, Sandy Alomar Jr., whose locker is next to Conine’s, winced. Alomar played on the 1997 Cleveland Indians, who lost in Game 7 of the World Series to Conine’s Marlins. source NY Times
