Maine And His Blister

Anthony Di Como at Mets.com writes about John Maine and the blister onhis middle finger of his pitching hand:

"Some people get them, some people don't, I guess," Maine said. "It comes out there every time I pitch. It's not a big deal. It's going to be painful tomorrow, but five days from now, it's going to be fine."

"It was something that was nagging him," Randolph said following his club's 4-3 victory. "He said he couldn't really feel his slider like he wanted to, so I made the decision to take him out. He didn't complain about it. He just said it was something that was annoying him a little bit."
