Online Charity Auction For 9/11 Caps

At The Mets Official Press Release they write about the Online Charity they are about to venture into:

The New York Mets, in conjunction with Mets-Steiner Collectibles, today announced the launch of a charity auction of authentic, autographed game-worn caps honoring New York City's uniformed servicemen and servicewomen. Mets players and coaches will wear special caps bearing the initials or shield of a city agency during the September 11 game against the Atlanta Braves at Shea Stadium. Each of the game worn caps will be individually signed by a player or coach on the Mets roster.

The online auction on Mets.com runs through November 1, with all proceeds distributed by the Mets Foundation to benefit ongoing efforts to support families of area police, fire, civic, and emergency officials who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks on America.
