Wright Volunteered For Short Stop Yesterday

Steve Popper at North Jersey writes about how David Write wanted to start at Short Stop in Reyes's absence:

Wright told Willie Randolph he'd take the assignment.

"I told him I'd sleep on it," Randolph said. "But I didn't dream about it so it didn't happen. That's the only way it would happen is if I dreamed about it. He was trying to make a case for it [Tuesday] night, but no, no way. He'll stay at third base."
