Mets To Stick With Randolph

At The Sports Network they write about the Mets and their decision to keep Willie Randolph on as the manager:

The New York Mets have reportedly decided to stick with manager Willie Randolph, despite a historic late-season collapse that left the team out of the playoffs.

According to Newsday, general manager Omar Minaya has decided to keep Randolph, who inked a three-year contract on January 25 that also included an option for 2010.

Under the terms of the deal, Randolph, who received $1.4 million this season, will be paid $2 million in 2008 and $2.25 million in 2009. The option for 2010 is $2.5 million.
