Could The Mets Be After Lee?

At Rotoworld they write about Omar Minaya and his meeting with the Indians' General Manager:

With general managers Omar Minaya and Mark Shapiro reportedly meeting Tuesday, New York Newsday speculates that the Mets could be interested in Cliff Lee.

Cleveland has the pitching depth to part with Lee, who was demoted to Triple-A last season after winning 32 games between 2005 and 2006, and Minaya actually traded him to the Indians when was general manager of the Expos back in 2002. "You want to make sure that, if you can upgrade via trade, you try doing that before you can go on the market," Minaya said. "The market is usually a last resort." Lee will make $3.75 million in 2008 and $5.75 million in 2009, with a team option for $8 million in 2010.
