Mets Get Their Man, Johan Santana

from MetsLifer.com
USAToday is reporting that the Mets have reached a deal with the Twins to trade for Johan Santana. After months of waiting and waiting, Mets nation breathes a sigh of relief and joy in one breath.

Alleluia.

While details of an extension for Santana are still to be done, the deal includes Carlos Gomez, Phil Humber, Deolis Guerra and Kevin Mulvey.

Basically, the Mets have just stolen the best pitcher in baseball for 4 prospects while still keeping their #1 prospect, Fernando Martinez. Unreal.

I can't breathe right now I'm so excited. Unbelievable. Kudos to Omar Minaya for getting the job done. While I'm sad to see Carlos Gomez go, this deal had to be done and I now laugh in the face of all those "experts" who said the Mets didn't have the talent to get a deal done for Johan Santana.

I can now officially place the order for my Johan Santana Mets jersey.

omg to keep martinez is huge! what a deal! im stunned! Gomez will be good, the pitchers will be decent and guerra i mean who knows. But santana is great!!! I never thought I'd be happy about trading so many prospects, but i'm definitely more than happy!

Wow. I can’t believe it. The Mets got Johan Santana. I really don’t believe it. I can’t even put it into my own words how much my expectations have gone up about the Mets this year already. Sure, we lose Gomez, Mulvey, and Humber, all top prospects in the organization, but Johan Santana is one of the best pitchers in baseball and Mulvey, Humber, and Guerra don’t beat that.

Omar finally made a good move. Finally.

I am afraid that this statement is not correct"
Great blog! nice insights on the Mets but personally, I don't think the Mets have that strong of a rotation. Even if Pelfrey has a breakout year, there are still too many question marks in the Mets rotation.

I would love to switch links with you and I have already put ur link in my blog! just link it to.'elaborate this.Thank you.
