Sosa Gone And Heilman Might Be, Too

Adam Rubin at The New York Daily News writes about the release of Jorge Sosa and the Mets trying to trade Aaron Heilman:

On Sosa:

The Mets placed reliever Jorge Sosa on unconditional release waivers after failing to trade him. Sosa was designated for assignment on May 13.
On Heilman:

The buzz among scouts is that the Mets are shopping Aaron Heilman. Of course, they're looking for a set-up man - something hard to find. Heilman's struggles continued yesterday. He inherited a 4-1 deficit, walked his first batter, Mark Teixeira, then surrendered a two-run homer to Brian McCann before recording an out.

"It seems like every mistake he makes is hurting him," said Tom Glavine, a friend who regularly golfed with Heilman the past few years before going back to the Braves as a free agent. "Sooner or later it will turn. It seems like the time I spent there with him he was never quick out of the gate anyway. Then the second half of the year he seemed to iron things out."
