Sanchez has surgery
Kevin Fiorenzo at Mets.com writes about the season ending surgery that Dauner Sanchez underwent yesterday:
Mets general manager Omar Minaya said Sanchez underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder Tuesday afternoon and that the right-hander would more than likely be unavailable for the rest of the regular season as well as the postseason. He is expected to be healthy enough to be ready for Spring Training in 2007.
"Just regroup, that's all. That's what happens over the course of a long season," Randolph said of the team's response. "Obviously, we're going to miss him, he was a big part of our bullpen, but you've just got to move on."
