Willie on Maine

Kristie Ackert at The NY Daily News writes about John Maine and the comments Willie had for him:

"(At the) beginning of the season, when he had the problem with his finger, he really couldn't throw his curveball like he wanted to, so I think that was part of it," Willie Randolph said. "He's been able to work with (pitching coach) Rick (Peterson) in the bullpen and hone his skills. But it's confidence more than anything, attacking the zone, there is some movement in his pitches, but when you get a chance to really pitch, you gain confidence."
