Stinnett gone

Steve Popper at North Jersey.com writes about the demotion of Kelley Stinnett:

Just nine days earlier, Kelly Stinnett had been a part of the Mets' celebration, spilling champagne around the clubhouse with the rest of the team.

But Wednesday, less than a week before the start of the postseason, Stinnett found himself called into manager Willie Randolph's office where general manager Omar Minaya and assistant GM John Ricco were waiting, too. He came out with the news that he was the victim with the team activating Ramon Castro.

To add insult to injury, a couple of clubhouse workers were seated at his locker as he returned to clear out his stuff, doing a puzzle while he stood waiting to get in.
