Mets shot down

At Rotoworld, they write about the Mets and their attempt to make a roster change after the deadline:

The Mets were rebuffed in their attempts to add another starter to the roster, expected to be Dave Williams.

Rosters were due at 10 a.m. the morning of Game 1, but after Game 1 was rained out, the Mets looked into the possibility of making a change given that the teams will now have to play five straight days. The Mets wanted another starting pitcher, but they were denied making any changes.
