Mets to open 2007 in St. Louis

The World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals will host the Mets in the 2007 major league opener on Sunday night, April 1.

The game, a rematch of this year's NL championship series, will be televised nationally by ESPN2 starting at 8:05 p.m., the Cardinals said Monday.
