Pipe Dreaming

I've been dreaming up a new scenario for the Mets to obtain, sign and re-sign for a pretty solid rotation. This isn't far fetched but I don't feel at least one of the moves will be made. Anyway here it is:

The Mets trade Lastings Milledge and his Superstar Attitude to the Nationals for John Patterson. Every time I look at the post I left a couple of days ago I just like it more and more.

Omar and the Wilpon's suck it up and just give Barry Zito six years ($80MM).

Re-sign Tom Glavine for one year ($13MM).

Like I said, it's not far fetched. But I don't really see Minaya making the Patterson deal anytime this century.
