Valentin update

At Rotoworld, they write about Jose Valentin and his progress to resign with the Mets:

Jose Valentin's agent, Dave Elston, said yesterday that he spoke to Mets special assistant Tony Bernazard on Friday and that the parties would speak further.

Even though it looks like the club only wants him back as a utilityman, Elston said he was "cautiously optimistic" about Valentin re-signing with the Mets.
