Who wants Manny?

Over at It's Outta Here, they put up quite the argument as to why the Mets need Manny Ramirez:

I have been thinking the past couple days about the Manny Ramirez trade rumors. I'm not a fan of Manny just being Manny, but with the lack of decent starting pitching available Omar Minaya should pull the trigger and bring Manny to Shea.

With the starting pitching market so thin I think Omar should look to build the team into an offensive juggernaut. Yeah there is the old saying, "Pitching and defense wins championship," but if there is no good starting pitching available what is a contending team to do?
It's tough to figure out through media reports what the Red Sox would want in return. One day it's a bat to replace Manny, the next its areliever and the next its a starting pitcher. So, I'm not sure what Omar would have to offer up to get Manny, but Heilman and Milledge is a start. I doubt Omar would trade Pelfrey, Humber, Gomez or F-Mart, but I would think one of them would have to be included as well.

Omar should do whatever it takes to make Manny a Met.
