Nationals offer Hinckley for Milledge

At Rotoworld, they write about the Nationals making an offer to the Mets:

The Nationals reportedly offered left-hander Michael Hinckley to the Mets for Lastings Milledge and were turned down.

Of course they were. Hinckley was a good enough prospect two years ago to be a decent return in a Milledge trade, but shoulder troubles have dropped his stock considerably. The Nationals just don't have the artillery to bring in more toolsy outfielders for Jim Bowden right now, especially when their starting pitching is in such dire straits.
