Thoughts on Rios
So the deal would ideally include Aaron Heilman and Lastings Milledge for Alex Rios and a low level prospect?
If this were a "Deal or no Deal" situation, I would hit the big red button so fast and hard, the device would short circuit out.
This trade deal, if real, is a no brainer. Rios hit .302 last year with 17 home runs, 82 runs batted in and 15 stolen bases. He also had a .996 fielding percentage last year.
I almost salivate at the mouth just thinking about Rios next to Beltran for the next three years and the possibility of Sandy Martinez or Carlos Gomez in Left. No ball would touch the ground in the outfield for a very long time.
