Ex-Mets GM dies at 90

At Newsday, they write about ex-Mets GM Bing Devine who died at the age of 90:

Bing Devine, who helped lay the groundwork for the Mets' 1969 World Series victory, died yesterday, He was 90.

Devine, who was the assistant to team president George Weiss in 1965-66 and was the team president/general manager in 1967, was instrumental in the signing and development of Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman and Nolan Ryan, among others.
