Ticket sales already past 1.5MM

At the Mets Official Release, they write about the Mets ticket sales passing 1.5 million:

The New York Mets today announced that advance sales of tickets for the 2007 season at Shea Stadium have surpassed 1.5 million (1,578,745) and are pacing 50% ahead of last year's comparable year-to-date sales. In 2006, the Mets did not eclipse the 1.5 million tickets sold mark until February 25, on their way to selling a record 3.5 million tickets, including eight sellouts and 11 crowds in excess of 50,000.

New business sales for Season Tickets for 2007 are up more than double from last year's same date sales. Continuing full Season Tickets holders in both 2007 and 2008 will have priority in purchasing Season Tickets at Citi Field, the Mets' new home scheduled to open in 2009.
