John Delcos at Lo Hud, talks about Willie Randolph and his contract extension:

Willie Randolph said this winter that it's not a big deal about a contract extension, that he has a contract for next year. That's his public stance. Privately, you know he wants this done before spring training.

No doubt, Willie got the runaround interviewing just about every winter. What he’s done his first two years is vindication and an extension would be more of the same.

Believe me, he wants this taken care of. He doesn't want it to become an issue during the season.
