Heilman's Bald Spot

Marty Noble at SNY, writes about Aaron Heilman:

A recent haircut exposed a curious aspect of Aaron Heilman's scalp -- a bald spot just above his left temple, one that often is concealed by a cap and longer hair. The Mets reliever -- otherwise unflawed, he insists -- said hair used to grow in the small area that is now hairless.

When the patch was pointed out to Jeff Wilpon, the Mets COO, he gave it a cursory inspection and complimented Heilman.

"It's better than Britney [Spears']," Wilpon said.
